Marco Ortiz spent 13 years in the restaurant industry and 10 of those behind the bar. After bartending called him away from his studies in biology and chemistry, Marco applied his vigor for science to his professional passion. “I got obsessed with drinks early on and I never looked back. I still love the cocktail aspect of bartending, but my priorities have shifted to educating new bartenders on how to become knowledgable, efficient, and caring hospitality-driven. At the end of the day our job is not to make amazing drinks, but to give guests amazing experiences. Amazing drinks can be a part of that.”
