Kathleen Squires, well known for her extensive writings on Puerto Rico and its food, is a contributor to the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Saveur, Travel & Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, Food & Wine and many other publications. Kathleen is the co-producer of the documentary film James Beard: America’s First Foodie, which was nominated for an Emmy. She has also earned three IACP awards; Les Dames d’Escoffier International’s M. F. K. Fisher Award for Excellence in Culinary Writing; and a nomination for a James Beard Foundation Award. Her column, “Cutting Class,” about home butchery, currently appears in the Wall Street Journal’s “Off Duty” section.
