MariCarmen’s Classic Margarita

margarita cropped

We love a classic margarita here at Familia Kitchen, so por favor trust us: this is a guaranteed-great recipe for a traditional and easy-to-make margarita from our favorite Catadora, MariCarmen Ortíz Conway.

MariCarmen is a globally renowned tequila expert. And we mean expert, as in certified Tequila Expert,™ a certification from the Cultura y Capacitación del Tequila, A.C. She is also an official Catadora or “taster,” among other certifications.

“This is a VERY successful margarita,” says MariCarmen. “Always.”

We recommend serving this with these Familia Kitchen family-famous Mexican traditional dishes from another of our favorite Mexican food cocineras, Anjie Villalobos: guacamole, hot-off-the-grill carne asado tacos, family-famous refried beans or frijoles de olla, double-delish tacos de papa and rajas, and green chile chicken pozole, a favorite comfort plato here at Familia Kitchen.
